yesterday

yesterday was one of those days...

one of those days where at the weekly office meeting they announced that more than likely they will be cutting everyone's hours back.  maybe it will be 4 hours, maybe it will be 8... but everyone is taking a pay cut.  i know i should be happy that i will still have a job, but really i am hoping that they take a different strategy on this.  so happy morning, have a doughnut, figure out how to live on 1/5th less salary.

then i got home to find that my neighbors wanted a "less time intensive yard, that the kids can play in".  to them that translates into bulldoze the site flat, remove any green vegetation and hydro seed.  yeah, cause grass in the pacific northwest does particularly well?  i mean everyone has crunchy grass by the beginning of july around here...  ah  no to mention they cut down a butter fly tree that separated our houses. now i can see into their back yard and i have to look at the side of their house.  yuck.

when cash allows i will be planting to separate the two house, but this time those trees will be on our side of the fence.  i know i owe you a workin on today... but that will have to wait till i get home and have some current photos.

i think i will start a rant category... you know for days like this when i need to vent.
